Well, it’s been a while between drinks now, hasn’t it? Turns out i’ve had to make more changes than expected, but it’s always the way so I’m not too worried…. Scheduled date for photo shoot which is about 2 1/2 weeks away.

Leggings - I was never sure how to finish these, it was something I should have done prior to design selection but somehow it’s only haunting me now… I’m narrowing it down to either a plain waistband covered in lyrca (or the fabric i’ll use for the shorts) or the gathered waistband I’ve used for the swim bottoms. Since i’m onto making finals now, i’ve also been thinking about fabric choices. Choices are:
Shorts - matte black, black tricot or matte powder blue with either a black matte, powder blue, black tricot or black/blue mesh piping… Leg - blue or black mesh
Rashie and swim bottoms - Finished toiling now! It’s been a test, but pretty sure i’m ready to start the final. The fabric choice here seems pretty obvious - plain black matte lycra. It’s the UPF50 one, beautiful weight and looks fantastic on. I’ve decided to take the stitching out of the cuffs and waist, as it looks awful in the black - I think the key with this piece is to keep it simple, I have a feeling contrast stitching will make the garment seem dated over time. It looks lovely without the stitching, just with the gathers.
